A healthy lawn not only requires regular mowing, but lime, fertilizer and aeration.
Lawn Mowing Services
There is an optimal mowing height for perennial ryegrass lawns (about 1 3/4″). Cutting too short can weaken the grass, sending it into dormancy during hot weather and leaving it vulnerable to weed growth. Letting the grass get too long not only looks unsightly, but allows any existing weeds to go to seed. It is also stressful on the lawn to cut more than 1/3 of the blade at a time. Regular mowing is key for a healthy lawn!
Regular Lawn Care Treatments
The heavy rains in the Pacific Northwest can lead to leaching of nutrients, soil compaction and acidity, which is hard on lawns. Over time, neglected lawns will deteriorate and become weedy. The best way to keep your lawn looking it’s best year after year is to regularly fertilize, aerate and apply lime. Ask us about our regular lawn care package.
