  • Landscape DesignWHY DO I NEED A GARDEN DESIGNER? A professionally designed landscape can enhance your quality of life and increase the value of your home. Having a working drawing is the best way to fully develop your ideas. Patios can be enlarged and gardens moved before a shovel breaks ground. Experienced horticulturists are able to select plants that will suit the conditions of the site. HOW CAN A DESIGNER REALLY UNDERSTAND MY VISION? True Earth partners with you to create your outdoor space. We work through a comprehensive set of questions, and we help you to recognize decisions before they become mistakes. We do our consultations onsite. By physically showing us the site, you can be confident the design will meet your needs. BUT ISN’T IT EXPENSIVE? CAD drawings make revisions take very little time. A clear planting plan leads to more efficient installation. EVERYONE SAYS THEY CAN DO THIS. WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU? The True Earth partners have over 18 years of experience between them, and formal training. True Earth follows the BCLNA Landscape Standard, and we warranty our work.
  • InstallationHOW DO I KNOW IF MY LANDSCAPE INSTALLER IS COMPETENT? At True Earth, we warranty our work. We are happy to provide references to potential clients, and proof of our credentials. We follow BCLNA codes of practice. The True Earth partners have had practical training in landscape installation. We understand such crucial concepts as grading, drainage, and soil tilth – areas that amateurs may miss, putting your property at risk of long-term damage. HOW MUCH IS IT GOING TO COST? A properly landscaped yard can be an extension of the home. Over time, many people invest as much as 10% of their property value on their “outdoor rooms.” DO YOU DO SPRINKLERS TOO? Yes! We have given many people peace of mind by putting automated water systems all around their property. No more late-night watering, or forgetting to turn off the sprinkler for the night! I CAN INSTALL IRRIGATION MYSELF! HOW HARD CAN IT BE? Some people do this, and it works for years. But leaks, low pressure, and poor coverage can be a headache to troubleshoot. True Earth does it for you so you’ll have peace of mind. WHY SHOULD TRUE EARTH INSTALL MY PATIO? Laying a patio is…

We use an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach lawn and garden problems. First we determine if the problem is unacceptable (many people don’t mind a little clover in their lawn, for example. Next, we try mechanical and cultural techniques (weeding, pruning, regular mowing, etc) to promote plant health. Biological controls such as BTK and nematodes are also available. The best pest control is prevention. A healthy and well cared for plant is less prone to disease than a neglected one. To date True Earth has never had to apply chemical insecticides. DO YOU DO TREE WORK? We can handle pruning up to 20’ and can sometimes remove slightly larger trees, depending on the logistics. We can also pull a 6” wood chipper for the clean-up of fallen trees.
